"The Seasons' third (!) album of 1964 (Return with us now to the thrilling days of yesteryear, when rock bands actually had a work ethic) was their first to feature primarily original material, as always from the pen of their genius songwriter/producer Bob Crewe. The sole exception was a gorgeously arranged and sung version of Cole Porter's ""I've Got You Under My Skin,"" which would, ironically, become a hit for the group two years later. The other hits from the album in '64 were two of the group's patented pure-pop love songs--""Save It For Me"" and ""Ronnie""--as well as ""Rag Doll,"" a classic example of the now vanished '60s genre of defiantly class-conscious, blue-collar, sort-of protest song."
